Esperanza Franco, Esq.
Esperanza Franco is a Spanish-U.S. immigration attorney, online entrepreneur, author, and emotional intelligence educator. Her immigration practice focuses on achievement-based U.S. immigration, BIA appeals, and Spanish nationality petitions under the Ley de Memoria Democrática. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and currently serves as Vice Chair on the AILA’s National Publications Committee.
Esperanza is the author of Emotionally Intelligent Lawyers: How to Navigate the Psychological Implications of Becoming a Lawyer, the 2021 winner of the International Bar Association (IBA) Vlog competition on Lawyer Well-being, and a featured author in the Arizona Attorney Magazine. She received training as a mindfulness teacher at the Google-born SIY Leadership Institute and she speaks on law students’ and lawyers’ mental health at both national and international levels.
Originally from the Canary Islands, Espy obtained her LL.B. in Law from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE), her LL.M. from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, and her J.D. from the University of Arizona, where she was a Thomas Tang Scholar and a member of the Arizona Law Review.
